At Qualifast, we’re a small and highly skilled team based in Sofia, passionate about building high-quality software from the ground up.

What You’ll Do
As part of our team, you will:
- Build high-performance, scalable, and maintainable backend systems
- Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of software solutions
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party services
- Work on complex engineering challenges, delivering efficient and secure backend code
- Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless delivery and performance
- Take end-to-end ownership of your work, from concept to production
- Participate in agile (and occasionally distributed) work processes
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing server-side applications
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
- Very good command of English
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems based on data and sound reasoning
- A proactive mindset with a focus on optimization and continuous improvement
- Curiosity, willingness to learn, and a strong problem-solving attitude
Nice to Have
- Experience with additional backend frameworks or programming languages
- Familiarity with frontend development (Angular 2+ is a plus)
- Experience with containers and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
- Experience with testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
