Key Responsibilities
Propose, design, and maintain advanced data solutions using PostgreSQL and ClickHouse to support large-scale analytics.
Efficiently manage large datasets using strategies such as partitioning and sharding.
Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, cache management, and other techniques.
Design, implement, and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines for high-speed data ingestion.
Update and maintain monitoring and alerting metrics to ensure database health and performance.
Collaborate with data analysts, product owners, DBAs, and developers to meet reporting and analytical requirements.
Troubleshoot database-related issues to minimize business disruptions.
Create and maintain documentation for database structures, processes, and performance metrics.
Promote and follow best practices for database design and management.
Continuously explore new features and improvements to enhance system performance.
Automate routine tasks and optimize operational efficiency through scripting.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Database Developer.
Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications.
Excellent knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and analytical column-based databases (ClickHouse preferred).
Proficiency in handling large datasets and high-volume transactions.
Strong SQL skills with experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
Familiarity with database design, documentation, and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and relevant programming languages.
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
BS degree in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant certification.
