Your Role:
The Technical Writers Team Lead will provide dedicated ownership of documentation strategy, quality, and prioritization; ensure consistency and scalability across all technical documentation; mentor and develop the existing writers; and act as a single point of accountability for documentation standards and delivery.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Technical Writers, providing guidance, feedback, and performance support to ensure high-quality, consistent documentation delivery
- Own documentation standards, tone, and best practices across all technical content, ensuring alignment with product, legal, and organizational requirements
- Oversee the research, outlining, writing, and editing of new and existing content, working closely with Product, Engineering, Support, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities
- Ensure the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of API and Integration documentation for company services
- Coordinate and support the team in gathering information from subject matter experts to develop and maintain procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
- Partner with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, drive revisions and improvements, and define scalable solutions for data compilation and centralized storage
- Define, maintain, and evolve information architecture templates and documentation structures that support scalability, compliance, and easy data migration
- Review, approve, and continuously improve documentation outputs to ensure clarity, accuracy, usability, and a consistent voice across all documentation and alternative media formats
- Contribute hands-on to complex or high-impact documentation initiatives when needed, acting as a senior individual contributor in addition to team leadership
Who You Are:
- Proven ability to develop and oversee comprehensive technical documentation that meets organizational, legal, and quality standards
- Demonstrated capability to build and maintain a deep understanding of complex products and services, and to guide a team in translating technical information into clear, accurate, and engaging content
- Experience working closely with software developers, product managers, QA engineers, and technical support teams, with the ability to lead documentation efforts across multiple stakeholders in English
- Strong editorial and review skills, with the ability to ensure user-focused, consistent, and high-quality documentation that meets the needs of diverse target audiences
- Experience defining, maintaining, and evolving documentation repositories and reference materials, including research inputs, usability findings, and design specifications
- Ability to assess existing documentation, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement through new approaches, standards, and processes
- Leadership skills to mentor and support Technical Writers, set priorities, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery across multiple documentation initiatives
