Contribution and key responsibilities:

• Proactively and systematically monitor and analyse security events
• Investigation, categorization, escalation, and documentation of potential security incidents
• Assist in configuring and maintaining assigned security systems and tools, including SIEM
• Awareness of current and emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques

For efficiency and effective role performance:

• Solid understanding of network protocols, devices, and layered security (Defence-in-Depth)
• Ability to analyse configuration files and system logs from network and OS sources
• Basic scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Knowledge of cryptography, PKI, and certificate management
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments
• Knowledge and work with an event and incident management platform (SIEM)
• Knowledge and experience with Web Application Firewall (WAF), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and EDR/XDR systems
