Currently we have an exciting career opportunity in our Time & Material team – part of the FP&A Finance Department in Sofia as an Associate Finance Analyst. The team is responsible for financial project management of short-duration and smaller scope consulting contracts where revenue recognition and billing happen on incurred hours basis.)
Associate Finance Analyst/Finance Analyst (Centralized services)
On this role you will be primarily engaged across centralized end-to-end processes with focus on quality, consistency and control point across data entries and systems. Additionally, by leveraging Microsoft tools such as Excel, SharePoint and others our team focuses on efficiency and optimization where possible.
Responsibilities
- Review site contracts and contractual obligations to ensure accurate Sales Order setup, including verification of customer PO details, demand forecasts, contract terms, VAT requirements, and shipping conditions.
- Manage daily contract deliverables and monitor compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners—including Business and Project Management teams—to drive performance improvements and provide analytical insights in Accounts Payable and Billing.
- Complete weekly and monthly reconciliations of revenue and intercompany transactions.
- Analyze actual costs and revenue on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, delivering consistent reporting packages for assigned customer portfolios.
- Provide financial analysis to support forecasting, revenue recognition, and other billing-related activities.
- Support site compliance with SOX controls and assist in external audit requirements.
- Prepare and provide information, documentation, and explanations to internal and external auditors during financial audits.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by developing automated calculations, checks, and validation processes.
- Coordinate with toller sites, third-party partners, and on-site teams to ensure accurate and timely invoice processing.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints, ensuring prompt and effective resolution
- Identify process improvement opportunities and leverage technology to enhance automation and standardization.
- Prepare various reports across multiple business segments (Consolidated, Sponsor, Region, Therapeutic Area) and support month-end close activities.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification
- Previous finance-related experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Understanding of general financial concepts in accounting, billing and/or financial management
- Strong analytical, quantitative and data validation skills, high attention to details
- Fluency in English – strong written and oral communications skills, interacting with various levels within the organization and departments in various locations around the globe
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data
- Detailed-oriented personality with analytical thinking and problem-solving attitude;
- Handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality of work;
- Service-minded attitude and ability to adapt to changes;
- Eagerness to work in a global team supporting various types of activities;
- Experience with SAP & Catalyst (preferred, not required).
