Your Role and Responsibilities
The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for establishing a sustainable software development lifecycle (with emphasis on end-user experience) by utilizing Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools, extending agile development practices, releasing faster and more reliable software in more frequent cycles, and providing direct impact monitoring visibility of each change through shared metrics. This position solves complex technical problems related to distributed systems. This position is part of a scrum team that focuses on supporting DevOps tools and services.
Develop tools and scripts that can both update and manage day to day build pipelines
Maintain and improve CI/CD delivery build process for multiple concurrent releases
Document issues and new feature development
Triage and debug system failures to determine if the cause is automation issues or product defects
Work closely with product owner to understand the feature requirements and then come up with a comprehensive development strategy as well as ability to recognize technical needs and recommend suitable technologies
Analyze tools and services, and identify gaps in the framework to support engineering efforts
Increase distributed nature of the product
Groom backlog stories to scope and estimate required tasks
Define efforts to meet the (sprint) criteria of team
Work in cross functional teams with people of different perspectives and experiences to include multinational/multicultural scrum agile teams
Train & mentor junior staff
Perform other duties as required or directed

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5+ years of software development or build systems administrator role with linux experience
System configuration management expertise using GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible and Artifactory
Experience with IT as a Service, Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, Systems Management, IT Ops tools
Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud-based services; caching, database architecture, API design, queuing Virtualization and container expertise using OpenStack, VMWare
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker image creation and registry management
Experience with programming in Python, Groovy, and Linux shell scripting
Understanding of Object-oriented concepts, HTTP, JSON, XML, and API Services
Experience with software/services: RedHat Kickstart installation, RedHat Satellite, Artifactory, Git Pipelines, Jenkins Pipelines,
Experience with following languages: PHP, Go, Java
Experience with Linux, Networking concepts, MySQL and Jira required
Understanding of Linux bare metal servers, basic networking, etc.
Understanding of Object-oriented concepts, Web Application UI, HTTP, XML, and API Services
Detail oriented, excellent analytical skills and good interpersonal skills

Experience in an internet customer facing environment
Experience with C/C++, Python or Golang
MySQL performance optimization
Linux Kernel experience
