KPMG IT Service OOD is an IT service provider with a mission to digitalize the core business of KPMG IT Service GmbH and KPMG AG in Germany and their clients across the globe. We employ around 200 people in Sofia and deliver the full spectrum of IT services to our clients, including Software Engineering, Application & Platform Operations, Infrastructure and Cloud, Digital Compliance.
Our Applications Unit is securing the stable operation, application support and ongoing development of approximately 300 applications for KPMG Germany.
We are currently seeking a motivated Application Support Specialist to join our growing Client-Based Application Operations Support (CAOS) team.
This is a temporary role to cover a maternity leave, but with a strong intention to retain the candidate within the team after the assignment ends.
You will act as the first point of contact for client-based applications, supporting end users, managing lifecycle processes, and ensuring operational and compliance standards are met. This is a great opportunity to be part of a newly established, cross-functional team with room to grow.
As an Application Support Specialist, your focus will be to:
– Provide 2nd Level support for client-based applications and resolve incidents.
– They will be 1th point of contact for those application at KPMG Germany.
– Guide users through installation, configuration, and usage of supported software.
– Test and deploy updates and new versions of applications.
– Support onboarding and offboarding processes for client applications.
– Manage licenses, certificate renewals, and access control.
– Ensure performance and compliance of the application environment (incl. virtual servers).
– Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to improve processes and identify automation opportunities.
What you bring in:
– 2–3 years of experience in IT support or application operations.
– Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
– Good understanding of client-based software and lifecycle support.
– Experience working with end users, ideally German-speaking users.
– Fluent in German (written and spoken) and good professional level of English.
