About us:
IT-Impulse is expanding to Bulgaria, with an office in Sofia, where we are building a local team of IT specialists. We represent a Software Engineering division of the international company JobImpulse GmbH with more than 9.000 employees in 51 locations in 12 countries and we act as an intermediary between the IT software development department and highly qualified IT specialists on the job market.
IT-Impulse with its offices in Seville (Spain) and Kosice (Slovakia) is the point of contact when it comes to IT Outsourcing and Nearshoring.
About the Role:
Ensure the quality and reliability of software deliverables by validating functionality against defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
Backlog Participation:
- Actively participate in backlog refinement sessions.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Developers to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria for user stories.
Test Planning & Design:
- Analyse user stories and technical specifications to identify test scenarios.
- Create detailed, structured test cases aligned with acceptance criteria.
Tooling & Process:
- Use Azure DevOps for test case management, execution, and defect tracking.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects within the tool.
Quality Assurance Activities:
- Execute functional, regression, and integration tests as required.
- Validate that deliverables meet agreed acceptance criteria before release.
- Report and document defects clearly, ensuring timely resolution.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with development teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Provide feedback on requirements and design from a QA perspective.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to improving QA practices, test automation coverage, and overall process efficiency.
- Automation experience and capability are considered advantageous and welcomed, but not essential. Lack of automation skills will not hinder suitability for the role.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in manual testing of software applications (functional, regression, integration).
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and participation in backlog refinement and sprint ceremonies.
- Experience in test planning and test case design based on user stories and technical specifications.
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with developers, product owners, and QA team members.
