We are expanding the Windows Monitoring team within Cloud Platform Delivery Department of the A1 Competence Delivery Center. Be a part of this exciting journey!
Your daily routine would include:
- Perform server and platform administrative activities, such as installations, deployments, configurations, upgrades, patching, and maintenance across PROD and non-PROD environments of the SCOM platform and B2B customer solutions.
- Gather and analyze business requirements related to Monitoring in Windows environments;
- Support the implementation of Windows Monitoring solutions (dashboards, reports, …) in SCOM to aid operational oversight and incident resolution;
- Help create Management Packs with PowerShell;
- Write scripts in Powershell, Python or similar scripting languages to automate tasks;
- Actively bring in suggestions for improvement (process redesign; other automation technologies, etc.) and, in coordination with various stakeholders (A1, Group), you give practical recommendations for action in the team and across teams;
- Document processes and contribute to continual service improvements.
- Conduct research and provide guidance to technical teams and stakeholders on best practices and process improvements;
We’ll know you can make it if you have:
- Experience in analytic, operational, or technical roles related to Windows services;
- Experience in the field as a business analyst or solution designer and have knowledge of Windows products;
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical routines or configurations;
- Knowledge of scripting in PowerShell, Python or similar;
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills;
- Experience with Kanban or Scrum-oriented team routines;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Monitoring Tools such as SCOM, Nagios, CheckMK, Zabbix, Grafana or similar is an advantage
- Experience as a Windows Administrator is an advantage
- Familiarity with enterprise configuration management tools (SCCM, MECM);
- Experience with incident management or service delivery processes;
- An understanding of Microsoft server roles;
- Ability to communicate in German.
