About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building and maintaining a modern cloud-based data platform. In this role, you’ll be responsible for orchestrating and automating data flows using Azure Data Factory, ingesting data from SQL Server and APIs, and transforming it in Snowflake using dbt. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable data pipelines that power business analytics and reporting through ThoughtSpot. This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to contribute to architecture, performance tuning, and cloud automation.
Your responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize ADF pipelines to orchestrate complex ETL workflows
- Implement business logic using dbt models to transform raw data in Snowflake
- Collaborate with international team to define and implement data solutions aligned with business goals
- Use Git repositories for version control, collaboration, and deployment of data pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
- Monitor and troubleshoot data flows, ensuring performance and reliability
- Document data architecture, pipelines, and data dictionaries to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing
- Prepare demos of developed data solutions and present them to peers and stakeholders for feedback and knowledge sharing
Role’s requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer
- Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory (pipelines, triggers, datasets, linked services, Integration Runtimes)
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with SQL Server and Snowflake
- Familiarity with dbt (Data Build Tool) for modeling and transforming data in the warehouse
- Experience integrating data from REST APIs and handling semi-structured formats
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices
- Good understanding of Git-based workflows and CI/CD for data projects
- Proactive, self-driven and analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address data-related challenges
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written English
