The product we develop is one of the world’s largest SaaS digital advertising platforms, managing nearly $5B in ad spending with 700+ brands worldwide.
The client’s leading end-to-end technology and outstanding customer service help brands such as Walmart, FanDuel, L’Oreal, Warner Bros. Discovery, Nestle, and Disney/ESPN to expand their ads reach, ignite creativity, and gain invaluable ad insights across the largest media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Snap, Pinterest, TikTok, and Google.
What you will do
Team orientation
- Leverage previous knowledge gained while helping ship multiple products within a SaaS product environment
- Be a UX craft expert who can easily explain design concepts and decisions to Smartly.io stakeholders and design leads
Designer foundational knowledge
- Create and maintain the Design System, make backlog and prioritise it accordingly
- Maintain client’s Figma libraries with a high standard
- Own the solution or approach to solve for each project or opportunity assigned to them
- Design features that fit within the larger experience and flows, create continuity across software tools
- Understand responsive design and best practices
- Have knowledge and understanding of design systems theory and practice
- Build interaction designs, micro-interactions and fine-tune UI design to produce consumer-grade experiences
Project and process management
- Plan strategically as a partner with engineering, product and brand to define the future of our design system
- Leverage / understand user journeys intersecting product areas which may have an impact on cross-domain topics originating from various product areas within the Platform
- Understand the design process: Discover, Design, Deliver and how each phase of project maturity is supported by design artifacts and problem-solving
- Manage / partner with the Design team for production, design direction and fulfilling Engineering requirements for “ready to ship” needs
- Effectively communicate with peers and stakeholders to err on the side of transparency
- Work with Product Designers and Engineers to iterate on and refine solutions
What you need for this
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in design
- Experience in creating huge design systems
- Proactiveness and strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a collaboration mindset within the project team
- Significant experience designing and delivering web and mobile world-class digital experiences
- Proven experience in workshop facilitation and conducting Design thinking workshops
- Experience with generative and evaluative research methods
- Deep understanding of fundamental visual, interactive design disciplines and principles, accessibility guidelines
- Experience working and creating project briefs, user flow diagrams, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, project planning documentation and milestones, interaction design documentation, design systems/style guides, micro-interaction design
- Strong portfolio that shows the design process and results
- Solid time management and prioritization skills to handle schedules in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
- Confidently skilled in task and requirements analysis, effort estimation
- At least Upper-Intermediate level of English
