Due to the expansion of their team, we are currently looking for Compliance Officer to join them in their office in Sofia.
Compliance Officer:
Main Responsibilities:
– Oversee risk assessments transaction monitoring;
– Oversee and be responsible for customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence investigations;
– Ensure the company’s full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, particularly related to AML/CFT and virtual assets;
– Develop, implement, and maintain effective compliance procedures and internal controls;
– Liaise with Bulgarian regulatory authorities and ensure timely reporting;
– Conduct risk assessments and monitor transactions for suspicious activity;
– Approve new business relationships in line with compliance standards;
– Perform customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence investigations;
– Train and support staff on compliance and regulatory requirements;
– Stay up to date with changes in legislation and international compliance trends relevant to virtual currencies;
Requirements:
– Proven experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role—preferably within the fintech, crypto or financial services sector;
– Strong knowledge of Bulgarian and EU regulations regarding AML/CFT and virtual assets;
– Fluency in Bulgarian and English;
– Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills;
– AML/CFT or compliance certification (e.g., CAMS, ICA) is a strong advantage;
